You can reduce the number of false positives by:
- Choosing to not consider a file an advanced threat until it is detected by more than 1 anti-malware engine. While the default is 1 anti-malware engine, you can select up to 6. This would mean that you would not be notified of any threat unless it had been detected by multiple anti-malware engines and would thereby reduce the number of false positives you would potentially receive.
- Another option is to reduce the number of anti-malware engines selected for your malware scanning. You can select from all available commercial engines. The higher the number of engines selected increases the possibility in seeing false positives.
